I am extremely concerned about the speed vehicles are traveling up and down Essendine Road 24/7. Sadly I watch my son every morning cross this road safely for school, ok he's 13 but still I fear that one of these days he might time it just that little bit too late and be met with a 50mph traveling car which wouldn't be an exaggeration. Most mornings he steps out to cross then a car comes flying over the hill and he has to step back in. In the winter months, this is even harder trying to judge speeds of oncoming vehicles and I too struggle trying to cross with my dogs. I moved here 5yrs ago with 9cats (mad cat lady) hoping they'd survive a 30mph road but sadly I've lost 4. Yes cats will be cats and that's life but the last lady was traveling so fast when she hit the cat, it took her on skidding tyres to the bottom of the hill before she could stop. Imagine if this was a child?? This road drastically needs slowing down :(
