Overgrown hedge, thorns at eye height, difficult to pass, property opposite the green triangle
Reported in the Footway or Footpath category anonymously at 17:17, Fri 3 May 2019
Sent to Rutland County Council 3 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1620436.
This property has a massively overgrown hedge, that it making walking past it very difficult. There are thorns at eye height of both adults and children (my daughter almost got scratched on the eye by the thorns) . This is near a narrower bit of the Stapleford road, where cars pass by the triangle. I am unsure of the actual number of the house, due to the overgrown hedge! It's the very first house on Stapleford Road, on the left. This has been getting gradually worse over the past few weeks I'd say.

I was going to report this problem but I see someone already has. The hedgerow is encroaching out onto the pavement, making it very difficult to pass on my mobility scooter, without going dangerously close to the kerb.

This problem has NOT been rectified, it is still encroaching on and blocking the passage of mobility scooters and pushchairs. It STILL needs a substantial amount taking off. Under the Equality Act, 2010 local authorities must take positive steps to remove the barriers people face because of their disability, so to ensure they receive the same services as someone who's not disabled.

First house on the left on Stapleford Road, Whissendine, when entering from the top of Main street.
Can you please notify the 'owner' of this hedge, and ask them cut it back please!!!!!!
