Sunken road near drain that floods

Reported in the Roads and Highways category anonymously at 17:28, Friday 14 June 2019

Sent to Rutland County Council 1 minute later

This part of the highway is subject to filling with water even when the rain is relatively light. Also when the road drys out this area does not drain and the water becomes stagnant. There is a wider issue with service lorries such as dustcarts driving on the green which causes ditches to form and mud to be washed outside of houses downslope and roadside. We have video evidence of this should you so require to discuss with service providers of refuge collection. This has been like this since we moved in exactly one year ago. We also point to the fact that our water suppler had a leak in the road which took 5 weeks to repair from point of reporting. This has also undermined the road surface.

  • This never really drys out see above. It stagnates with lots of mozzie type flys which may come from the adjoining drain.
