Dangerous new Give way to oncoming traffic island

Reported in the Road Signage category anonymously at 10:03, Tue 6 August 2019

Sent to Rutland County Council 2 minutes later

A new give way to oncoming traffic calming island has been introduced on the ryhall side of the village. Exiting the village there is a clear view of oncoming (give way traffic) but on entering the village from the ryhall side there is a slight kink in the road and it is impossible to see approaching traffic - which you are obliged to give way to - until almost the last moment. In the few weeks this island has been in place I have seen several near misses and have been involved in a few myself. This traffic calming island is actually causing more traffic problems than it resolves.
