The tar road is collapsing around the gully and is quite deep. A danger for cyclists and becoming a danger for motorists which can already lead to serious wheel damage.

We often walk along the path and have noticed both cyclists and cars swerving to avoid the hole. As cars travel both ways on this stretch of the road some accessing the A1, and travelling at speed, we have seen several near misses.
