The footpath from Greetam to Oakham si gradually getting narrower

Sent to Rutland County Council 4 minutes later

The footpath is gradually getting narrower with the verges encroaching from both sides. Brambles trail over the path and hedges and tress overhang the path. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the footpath near the Co-op has been cleared to the kerbstone giving a good 18inches of extra space.(see photo) Travelling by bike we have had several punctures caused by brambles and other old thorny cuttings spread over the path. If the path could be cleared to the kerbstones on both sides of the path it would revert to its intended width and make travelling safer. Hedges could do with a good cutback including the overhanging trees.
