Illegal and inconsiderate parking by parents dropping children off at school

Reported in the Parking category anonymously at 18:44, Tue 10 September 2019

Sent to Rutland County Council 1 minute later

Parents taking or collecting children to or from school are parking illegally on the sharp bend on Main Street/ Oakham road, on raised speed tables and sometimes on the narrow pavement ( made worse by overgrown hedges) at bottom of Melton Road near Oakham Road junction. Such parking is causing big hazards for pedestrians, especially children, trying to cross the road on the raised speed tables as they cannot be seen by approaching traffic and also cannot, themselves, see approaching traffic. It is only a matter of time before there is a terrible accident. Please can you do something to regulate this?
