Traffic calming /pedestrian crossing
Reported in the Traffic Signals category anonymously at 21:14, Thu 12 September 2019
Sent to Rutland County Council 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1765767.
Hi Not sure if this is the right email address. Is there any chance of having traffic calming / pedestrian crossing placed on Ashwell Road near the vetinary surgery or Oakham school pavilion as at the moment there is no safe means of crossing the road. This will get used frequently by people using the vets. My children have also had near misses with vehicles as the come flying off of the roundabout from the bypass, and speeding down the road from Ashwell. Thanks

Thank you for your report. Rutland County Council have set up an integrated Highways and Transport Working Group to address issues where new traffic calming measures are being requested. You will need to contact your Parish Council and request that they fill out one of the HTWG forms and send it in to the Council, once they have done this the form will be processed and the issue sent over to officers for them to carry out a feasibility study.
