Persistent speeding of vehicles through Seaton village.

Reported in the Roads and Highways category by Nicholas Greenfield at 07:59, Friday 10 January 2020

Sent to Rutland County Council 1 minute later

Speed of prevailing traffic throughout Seaton village is excessive and potentially dangerous, most notably at west end of village where bend on entry to road restricts view of traffic in other direction and increases risk of accidents. Parish Council support request of local residents for RCC to survey traffic asap and take appropriate traffic calming measures. Possible options should include reduction of current speed limit within village from 30 to 20 MPH; one way chicanes on entry to village with priority for traffic leaving the village; and, extension of area of restricted speed so vehicles slow well before entering village.
