Blocked drain - sewage flooding into the road

Reported in the Gully or Manhole category by Phil Grimley (clerk to Preston Village) at 17:14, Thursday 7 May 2020

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later

URGENT Health & Safety issue:- Manhole on NORTH side of Ridlington Road, between 4a and The Granary totally blocked. Water is flowing across the road and draining into manhole beside 3 Ridlington Road, This was originally logged on Dec 20th 2019, when Donna Ullah explained that RCC had no funding to address this. However, it is now clear that Preston has a 'single drain system' and this drain is also the one that takes away human sewage. It remains blocked and we now have human waste in the roadway.
