Toll Bar loose kerb dropped kerb stone and road not draining properly.
Reported in the Kerbs category anonymously at 12:48, Tue 30 June 2020
Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2179334.
The kerb stone has been loose for at least 6 months and is becoming worse as passing traffic drive over it and stands slightly proud of those either side. In addition when it rains the road does not drain and there is a pool forming hiding it. The nearest drain is slightly higher than this part of the road and with the surface water pooling stopping just short of the drain. It is upto 3 metres long. Several times I have been ‘soaked’ when opening my gates by passing cars. It is located outside The Cottage Toll Bar.

Whilst the kerb has been fixed, there is a problem with the road flooding and draining, as you will see from the photos water is not draining into the grate, in addition the photos show where passing vehicles are drenching one of the gates and posts constantly. This is causing discolouration and will lead to rot. This is in addition to us having to be very wary when opening or closing the gates or working in the garden in that area as passing vehicles cause the water to spray over our property.
