Royal Mail Post Trolley used to deliver mail obstructs the path
Reported in the Footway or Footpath category anonymously at 16:52, Mon 14 September 2020
Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2294339.
The footpath between The Lonsdale Park development and Lidl is used for delivery of post at least twice (with the return trip) on weekdays and Saturdays delivery includes Stud Road and the Buttercross Park Development. The Royal Mail Post Trolley used is almost as wide as the footpath itself causing pedestrians to walk on the road which is particularly dangerous on the bend. The footpath is completely blocked when encountering families with push chairs or elderly or disabled pedestrians with shopping trollies or mobility scooters. On occasions I have seen two Post Trolleys being used for two different delivery routes in the Buttercross Park Area and using the above footpath at the same time. This is in addition to the poor state of the footpath which has been reported by others. The footpath needs to be renovated and widened to accommodate all of the pedestrian traffic using it.
