Cycle footpaths not being cleared

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later
I have had three punctures in the last month whilst cycling on the cycle paths round Rutland, the last two were on the Oakham/Cottesmore path. This is because the hawthorn hedges have been cut and all the debris is just left on the path. This is extremely annoying and disappointing considering we are being encourage to cycle more and it is too dangerous to cycle on the roads in this area. We have the same situation every year because the hedges are cut without guards.
Thank you for your report. We will investigate this and respond to you within 10 working days. Updates will be posted on https://rutland.fixmystreet.com/ IMPORTANT: To report anything dangerous, please call us on: 01572 722577
State changed to: Investigating

There are no cycle lanes or footpaths from the Reserve on Manton Rd., to EdithWeston. & the grass verges hadn’t been cut, so the people walking had to struggle to get off that dangerous road...The road is so dangerous for cyclists as well as walkers, as the cars & motorcycles seem to use it as a racetrack. A man was hit by a van last week, (was taken to hospital), I was surprised it was not fatal, Rutland is a tourist county, why hasn’t this been a priority?? Sincerely Margaret Jones
