On Wednesday this week a long stretch of footpath on Glaston Road from the top of the hill up to the Garden Centre was beautifully cleared and edges trimmed and weeds removed. But this is where it stops. From the Garden Centre past the turning to Mill Cottages where I live the hedges and weeds hang over the path and we have to walk on the now very muddy verge. The path is so overgrown that it is hardly visible all the way up to the A47. It has been like this for about two years now and is never cleared or the edges trimmed. During lockdown my neighbour and I have tried to walk as much as possible but it is not a pleasant experience especially as we have to dodge overhanging branches, brambles and nettles and have to scrape mud from our boots when we get home.
