Since Traffic lights at Junction of High Street & New street have been repaired - The Traffic lights along High Street are predominately on red. When approaching the Traffic Lights from either direction (East to West) along High Street - out of peak hrs, the lights are predominately on Red. This causes the traffic to regularly unnecessarily stop - creating extra pollution. Once turned green, they only remain green for a short period before returning to red!!! Thus causing traffic to stop again - causing more pollution...….. To reduce congestion outside of peak hours, the lights should remain green along the High Street unless activated by vehicles approaching from New Street, or operated by the pedestrian crossing facility.
