Previously and numerously reported blocked drain outside the Blue Ball was dug up a week ago . No work has been undertaked since, leaving a hole in the road

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2407032.
The resolution of flooding from the drain has been a long outstanding issue, which has been reported on numerous occasions since the summer and prior to this. The work should now be completed, urgently. The hole left in the road is a danger to vehicles and pedestrians, especially at night, as the warning signage keeps falling over. There is a long history of flooding from the drain, which previous work has not resolved. The problem now needs to be comprehensively rectified in the immediate future

Another week later and still no progress - this is dangerous. The Blue Ball opens again tomorrow and there will be people outside in the dark; the signs and safety barriers around the area are not robust, and what looks like a puddle is actually a deep hole.
