Road resurfacing is dreadful
Reported via mobile in the Roads and Highways category anonymously at 23:44, Fri 19 February 2021
Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 2558587.
Dear council, am not sure if this is the right contact detail but a few months ago the road surface on Edmonton Way was ‘resurfaced’. Am writing to find out if it has been finished or is it part way through. If unfinished can you advise when it will be ref-done. If it’s finished I am writing to complain. It’s dreadful. It feels like a temporary road surface, very rough with loose gravel everywhere which is a hazard to cars and people due to skidding, and there are children in the estate. There are parts where the drain edges haven’t been sealed and they haven’t done the surrounding streets. So it feels like some tar has just been poured on the road for some reason. It’s worse than it was previously. Can you advise what is going on. Rgds.

Not only is the surface bad, but there are signs of collapse in places. The double yellow lines at the Stamford road end need to be reinstated.
