Mowing of verges

Reported via desktop in the Trees or Vegetation category anonymously at 17:29, Saturday 29 May 2021

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later

Last year the verges were left long around the county and they looked lovely with all the wild flowers emerging, so why are they being cut now, during the breeding/nesting season, removing any protective cover for wildlife? Please don’t mow everything, try to concentrate on junctions where visibility is an issue, otherwise leave the verges be please.
