Poor visibility to turn right onto Lands End Way from Maresfield Rd due to height of vegetation.

Reported via mobile in the Trees or Vegetation category anonymously at 19:28, Sun 4 July 2021

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later

It is very difficult to see oncoming traffic when turning right out of Maresfield Rd onto Lands End Way due to the height of the vegetation on thevroadside. Traffic comes down the main road very fast too (no traffic calming) and several times I have pulled out and had someone racing down who I could not see until I was in Lands End Way. It has been a problem every late spring / summer amd will increase when the new businesses open and the volume of traffic increases.

  • The verges need to be cut as are now very overgrown and in addition to being a safety issue for road users, this is not suitable for pedestrians using the footpath and access to the litter bin is impeded. Councillor David Gordon.
