Overgrown ivy obstructing footpath

Reported via desktop in the Overhanging tree, hedge or shrub category anonymously at 15:25, Friday 6 August 2021

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later

This ivy has grown up from the public footpath on the south facing wall. It’s too high and wide and ideally should be completely removed as it’s damaging the host wall which might collapse injuring the public. It is on the footpath that connects New Road Ryhall and the St John’s Churchyard. This a frequently use footpath.

  • What has happened since this was reported. A person was seen investigating the extent of the ivy months ago but nothing seems to have happened since. It makes use of the footpath unpleasant and oppressive on date mornings and evenings . It needs a drastic prune both vertically and horizontally. Please say what is due to happen.
