Eroded verge leads to Surface Water run off flooding property

Reported via desktop in the Surface Water on the Highway category anonymously at 22:51, Friday 10 September 2021

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later

The southern face of the verge to the bottom section of Mill Lane has eroded to such an extent that SW run off is not channelled into gullies (indeed there are no gullies to this face of the highway) such that during periods of heavy or prolonged rainfall SW run off flows across my property's access from Mill Lane across my gravel driveway ending at and in the lowest point i.e. my garage. I have previously complained and been given sandbags (some 18 months/2 years ago) but this is an inadequate temporary measure. Further erosion of the verge has occurred during this period and flooding is more regular and worse than ever. Simple kerb edging to the verge to mirror the northern side of the road plus a 'half-pipe' channel to the road/verge juncture of my driveway would simply address this continuing and worsening issue. I look forward to your positive response.
