Road markings faded and need repainting urgently, with the addition of solid no overtaking white lines in the middle of the road

Reported via desktop in the Road markings category anonymously at 19:18, Tue 12 October 2021

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later

The potential for further serious accidents on the road between Braunston village and the Knossington turn is high. Motorists who don't like sticking to 30mph in the village will overtake on this stretch of road after the chicanes and if someone is going to turn right into Knossington Lane (turn on a blind bend,) there could easily be an accident, either with oncoming traffic, or with the car positioning to turn right. (There has been a fatality on the blind bend). Perhaps RCC would consider double white lines, as well as a flashing speed sign and no overtaking signs on this stretch of road -at the moment the existing white lines have pretty much disappeared and need re-painting, urgently
