Gully in Church Street doesn’t drain surface water which instead floods down hill into The Square producing large puddles inhibiting pedestrians movement

Reported via mobile in the Surface Water on the Highway category anonymously at 09:36, Tue 21 December 2021

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later

Church street is a hill with few gullies. This gully is positioned in the centre of the steet opposite the entrance to St John’s Close and is the main drain to receive the considerable surface water that flows down Church Street. The way it is set in the tarmac is too high with the result that water flows around it and not into it. The water then flows into the level surface of The Square where it forms large puddles.
