Street light not operational

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later
I refer to your email of the 7th February 2020 regarding the street light outside our house at the end of Penn Street which is still not operational .
It will soon be two years since I contacted you. Saxon Gardens Apartments are now well occupied with residents and visitors frequently coming and going. Some elderly residents do venture out when it is dark and there is a considerable footfall down Penn Street. It is quite dark and murky down this end of the road.
Could you follow it up again, please and see what McCarthy Stone plan to do about the situation. It is not good enough!
Kind regards, Beryl Kirtland

This enquiry has been closed because it’s been determined that it relates to an un-adopted road. Un-adopted roads do not have to be maintained by the Highway Authority (Rutland County Council) under the Highways Act 1980. A legal duty to maintain these roads still exists, but it falls to the owners of the road to do so. In order to determine whether a road is adopted you can refer to the National Street Gazetteer website https://www.findmystreet.co.uk/ map
