Request for approval for tree planting

Reported via desktop in the Trees or Vegetation category anonymously at 14:54, Thursday 13 January 2022

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later

There is already a row of trees on the North side of Ridlington Road as you enter Preston village. This is a request on behalf of Preston village for approval to plant a row of trees (probably 7) on the South side of the road, to celebrate the Queens platinum jubilee. I believe that the grass verge is Highways land. The existing trees on the North side are quite mature, so no idea how/when they were planted. We would of course be open to a discussion on which species of tree would be acceptable to the council, and fitting for this celebration
