Dead and damaged trees

Reported via iOS in the Trees or Vegetation category by Jeff Hudson at 16:06, Wednesday 27 April 2022

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later

A number of the trees planted to commemorate the Battle of Agincourt have been killed and many damaged by council contractors strimming too close to their bases Will the council A) speak to the contractor and ensure the strimming staff are qualified to use a strimmer (clearly they’re not if repeatedly the bases of them!) and only strim around/near the trees not right up to them (and in some cases straight through them!) B) arrange for the dead ones to be replaced with similarly mature species (yews and oaks)
