Missing 30mph maximum speed sign

Reported via mobile in the Road Signs category anonymously at 14:03, Tuesday 13 September 2022

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later

This was reported Thursday 1st September at 12:57 but Lincolnshire say it’s Rutland County Council responsibility. Ref: 430804. There is only one 30mph speed sign as you approach Stamford on the A6121. It is on the near side (driving south) but I believe there should be another 30 sign on the offside to be within Government regulations. I see there is a 30 painted on the road, at the leading edge of the speed restriction zone, but nobody keeps to it!

  • I passed by there recently, the grass verge has been cut and that revealed a mangled 30mph bollard stand in the short grass as I was leaving Stamford. So, that would suggest there was one there originally, but it had been knocked over and the grass had grown over it!
