Failure to effectively manage traffic through Lyddington village during the time of the closure of the A6003

Reported via mobile in the Kerb Issues category anonymously at 15:09, Fri 25 November 2022

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later

Uncontrolled heavy traffic flow including HGV’s through Lyddington village causing significant verge damage. Thursday 23rd November was exceptionally busy taking over 35 minutes to get from one end of the village to the other. In such circumstances any emergency vehicle would have been severely delayed if attending an incident in the village. It would appear that no effective mitigations were in place to manage traffic flow through the village during the closure of the A6003.
