Significant deterioration & poor visibility of village name plate
Reported via desktop in the Road Signs category by ANTHONY REDMAYNE at 12:44, Tue 14 March 2023
Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4311837.
A number of residents are drawing attention to the fact that the village sign at the entrance to Thorpe by Water is looking very tatty. To my knowledge nothing has been done with it for many years. As we are a Parish Meeting with no funds of our own, I have been asked to enquire of the Council what the process is for replacing it. At the same time we would like to consider whether it can be placed in a more visible position from the B572. Although there is no other exit from the hamlet, we still get quite a few vehicles which end up having to turn in someone’s drive not having realised it is a dead end. I would welcome your advice.
Kind regards, Anthony Redmayne Thorpe by Water Parish Chair
