Replacement of old orange street lamps

Reported via mobile in the Street Lighting category anonymously at 13:27, Tuesday 21 March 2023

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4340524.

It would seem that nearly all of the old orange street lamps in and around this area have been replaced with the new white light units. That is except for those I have referred to. I do not know why these have not been changed and do not accept that they are only being changed when they need replacement. The old units produce serious amounts of light pollution and need upgrading. As a resident of Irwell Close I am starting to get the impression that you are not really concerned with issues relating to problems at the end of cut-de -sacs. I pay the same ludicrous level of council tax and would expect the same level of service.

  • OK 10 days have passed with no sign of an update! Perhaps you would actually like to respond?

  • What is the point of stating that you will respond within 10 working days when you have no intention of doing so?

I have little faith in you intention to take my problem seriously, let alone fix it!

  • I have issues with organisations such as RCC that glibly state that they will respond within a certain timescale and then do not live up to that ‘promise’ Perhaps if I post every single day from now on you will actually respond!

  • Time for the daily update - well of course there is no update. Onward and downward with RCC!
