Speed sign on A606 not working!

Reported via desktop in the Vehicle Activated signs category anonymously at 14:52, Thursday 11 May 2023

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4542492.

This sign has not been working for nearly two years! This was reported to Robyn Green who informed me that tenders where being invited to install and maintain all the signs within Rutland so that only one contractor was involved instead of the current situation of having them maintained by different companies! I assume we are still waiting for this tender to go through procurement! Although as a Procurement Manager this would appear to be taking an excessive amount of time? Meanwhile cars and lorries thunder down this road at well over the 30mph speed limit! Can someone please update the residents of Langham as to what is happening with this sign? Especially as there is an intention to install a pedestrian crossing further down near the Range! It would be like taking your life in your hands to try and cross there with so many vehicles exceeding the supposed limit!
