Public Bridleway sign obscured

Reported via desktop in the Sign/waymark category anonymously at 13:00, Tue 16 May 2023

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4561006.

The official Bridleway sign is obscured in hedge. An additional unofficial sign has been erected saying 'No Access to Rutland Water'. Another unofficial 'No Acess' sign is displayed 150 metres along the bridleway. There is no waymarking. The path is indistinct as it approaches it's intersection with the Rutland Water trail and we could not easily find a crossing point in the hedge and fence where the two should join. Essentially the bridleway needs clearly marking and and access points need to be accessible at both ends. Thank you

  • Mid June Bridleway signpost now completely obscured by hedge and bridleway blocked at it's eastern end by a thick hedge and fence. There is no waymarking and unofficial signs are still there indicating no access.
