Dangerous paving

Reported via mobile in the Cracked or Damaged Road Surface category anonymously at 12:39, Sunday 11 June 2023

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 4657067.

The area has been deteriorating over the last few years. Paving to the seating area next to the pedestrian crossing at to top of London rd. This area is used daily by many to sit and have drinks, lunch etc. It is now in such a state that it is very dangerous to walk on. Slabs are missing, loose, uneven, wobbly and cracked. How nobody has been injured is astonishing. Please can the slabs be lifted and relaid to make them safe for our residents, especially our elderly. Last year I spoke to a contractor who was inspecting the area with a view to giving the council a quote to repair. What happened to that?

  • Please can you tell me which department this has been passed to for future contact as this has been ongoing for such a long time. Uppingham are hosting the RHS East Midlands in bloom judges on 3rd of July, and it would be a positive to be able to give them some feedback from the relevant department Kind regards Pam Dalby Uppingham in Bloom

  • Large pothole in the road near the library. It's getting larger and will only be a matter of time before tyres are damaged (if not already)
