Concrete Girder at entrance of Bridle way
Reported via desktop in the Gate/stile category by Sue Scarrott at 06:45, Wed 15 November 2023
Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5204532.
The Girder has been put at the entrance to.the bridle way bynthe farm manager to stop travellers illegally accessing the land. It leaves only a small gap for horses to squeeze through. Some horses spook and will.not pass through because it is covered in vegetation. Being this close to the A47 on a horse already presents safety problems and this adds to them. A rider friendly gate should be installed.
A kilometer further up the track, nearer to Ridlington, where the bridle way passes between.2 hedges is is very overgrown. The shrubs and hedges need cutting back. The land is believed to be owned by Parker Farms.
