Traffic calming has potential to damage vehicles

Reported via desktop in the Damaged Traffic Calming Feature category anonymously at 07:40, Saturday 18 May 2024

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 5988880.

The traffic calming measures in Balmoral Road have badly eroded road surfaces around them. There is evidence of oil staining on one of them, indicating possible contact with an engine sump. The road surface in general is poor, but around the “speed cushions” is sunken and artificially raising their height, causing vehicles to drop into them. Deterioration has been ongoing for the past 12 month.
