There is a hole in the road that opens up every time it rains

Reported via mobile in the Sign/waymark category anonymously at 08:22, Saturday 1 June 2024

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6044582.

Some men from the council came and put the barriers and signs around the hole over a month ago. Nothing has happened since. The barriers and signs make getting into and out of the drive very difficult especially with impatient drivers on Main Street. We just want a lasting fix ASAP

  • Nothing has been done for this for 6-8 weeks. Causing issues in the village especially at rush hour. No need to take this long for a repair

  • I’ve moved house here 4 weeks ago and noticed this roadwork which is a pothole on side of the road on Main Street. It’s been like this for 4 weeks and has almost caused an accident on 2 occasions.

Could someone at the council kindly look at this and have it mended as it’s causing real obstruction. On a windy day 2 weeks ago the orange casings had toppled over.

I’ve had to spend time to put them back up and put the sand bags on them appropriately to ensure no accidents happen.

I see this has been reported priory to myself before.

    Kind regards.
