Maresfield Road/Land Ends Way - reduced visibility

Reported via mobile in the Trees or Vegetation category anonymously at 08:07, Sat 8 June 2024

Sent to Rutland County Council 2 hours, 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 6080218.

At the junction of Maresfield Road and Land End Way the hedge and bushes are overgrown and so high that the visibility is reduced when turning right towards Lidl. It’s getting worse as the trees and bushes are growing and flowering in the nicer weather.

  • 10/07/24 - More than a month since this was reported to you by someone else, as above. The visibility is really bad now and getting dangerous as you have to edge out of Maresfield Road to look right, towards Lidl. The vegetation should really be levelled there or at least cut back on a regular basis, as a matter of course. Please attend to this as soon as possible or there will be an accident! Thank you.

  • This problem still exists and is getter worse - you are effectively in the middle of the road before you can see if any traffic coming from the right hand side
