Leftover loose telephone cable causing potential hazard

Reported via desktop in the Spillages / Debris category anonymously at 11:58, Sunday 30 June 2024

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6172445.

Openreach/Morrisons have left loose wire at the foot of a telegraph pole on Aveland Road causing potential damage if it was to get into the road. The grass cutter has been avoiding it so far. Openreach and Morrisons have been advised of this but have not taken any action.

  • It appears that after working on rhe telegraph pole on Aveland Road Openreach have left a temporary barrier which has been blown over and is now obstructing the pavement. Also the loose wire has not been removed.
