Change to pavement drainage is causing damage to two houses

Reported via desktop in the Cracked or Damaged Road Surface category anonymously at 12:18, Tuesday 1 October 2024

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6537682.

Repairs to the pavement on Stockerston Road Uppingham continue to cause damage to property. We reported this 1 year ago. When the pavement was 'repaired' the pipe under the pavement, allowing water to run into the road and down the drain was replaced with a smaller pipe and then tarmacked over. This is now too narrow and means that the water now backs up against our houses. Please reinstate the original metal box or increase the size of the existing drainpipe which runs across the pavement which is the responsibility of Highways - thank you
