Main Street Flooding..

Every time we have any heavy rain Main Street in Whissendine floods and traps a number of households in there properties . It also cause considerable inconvenience to local businesses and access to primary school for parents. This happens numerous times a year and as yet no remedial action has ever taken place.

We have now inspected the area and our assessment is that no action is required at this stage. The issue reported will be considered as part of the planned programme of work that Rutland County Council carry out.
The issue will be considered alongside other projects and requests and will be prioritised accordingly.
We cannot provide a timescale for a resolution or confirm that this will be rectified. We do combine individual works under our programmed works, for instance gully cleaning.
