Drain still blocked

Reported via desktop in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 09:37, Fri 25 October 2024

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 6656764.

The drain is blocked. It has been blocked for a long time even after numerous residents complained about it from a few weeks ago. It also has been causing constant flooding over many years. The drain cover is also missing probably from previous attempts. We had a heavy down pour on Saturday 19th Oct causing more flooding to residents driveways and outbuilding. This made worse by the new development further up the road. Thanks.

  • The residents of Stapleford Road has raised this blocked drain with you for many months. My last notification was in October. As you can see from the photos from 6th January the flooding issue remains. This is made worse by the new development has been connected onto this drainage system on Stapleford Road. As the drain is blocked, the water comes up from the drain on the corner of Stapleford Road by The Laurels and then runs down both private driveways into residents property causing further damage. Please can you fix it as once further new houses are built the problem will get worse.
