  • Only two minor drains have so far been cleared on Hall Lane That outside No 3 Hall Lane is still blocked and it catches the majority of water running down the lane. It may look empty but as soon as rain falls it fills up within seconds and water then cascades down the road. Over the years the alignment of the road has been changed with the installation of a 'ramp' to give car access to the village hall. When the drain outside No 3 Hall Lane is blocked the water then runs down as far as the village hall ramp which throws all the water to the other side of the road and - in the main - bypasses the two remaining drains. The course of the water now the drain is blocked is now washing away the road surface leaving a number of potholes and also running right up against the stone walls that form the lower end of my house - No 2 and 4 Hall Lane!
