I witnessed this van and driver on 15/12/24 and the driver appeared to be about to fly-tip. He spoke to me and said the van was broken down and he was waiting for his mate to return with a part. On return from our walk, he was still there. He asked me to ring his wife/partner to come and get him. I have the mobile number he gave me still on my phone. I left a voicemail for (name available). I noticed the van was full of rubbish and thought his story unlikely. It has clearly been abandoned, where he left it at the start of the footpath, off the Hambleton/Oakham road, along with the garden clearance or whatever is in it!

    This abandoned van has debris spilling out of it and has been noted by the police. However, further items have been added to this van and fly tipping and the situation is worsening. Is there an update as to when the abandoned vehicle and its contents will be removed?
