Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7336512.
The photograph shows a section of road on Moor Lane, Whissendine, which is almost now impossible to navigate across onto the private road leading to some new houses. There are least 4 potholes, a damaged verge and a crater has formed in a section of re-laid tarmac where I expect cables or something have been laid. Even the section of road between here and the junction is littered with potholes. Someone has also reported the disgraceful state of the road further down Moor Lane. The council received a SIL payment from the builder of the new houses - so where has the money gone - certainly not in maintaining the road which was certainly damaged in building the houses? It may be a country road, but it is used constantly by heavy farming vehicles, tourist vehicles and our own vehicles. We pay our taxes and don't expect to have to constantly have to replace tyres and wheels due to getting stuck and damaged by a poorly maintained road surfaces.
