Missing give way road markings
Reported via mobile in the Road markings category anonymously at 18:06, Friday 4 July 2025
Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 7810802.
The road markings at w3w reapply.repaying.swarm are faded to the point where it is not clear that this is a give way point. This has been made worse this week by the resurfacing and application of new white lines to the adjoining junction. It now looks like there is no junction. This was already a very dangerous junction. A life threatening accident took place there on 29 May with a motorcyclist. Another accident with 2 cars took place on Thursday 19 June. Multiple other near misses have taken place. Remedial action needs to be taken urgently before someone is killed.

This junction, as has already been reported, is extremely dangerous with hardly any visible road markings. I understand that you are struggling with staff issues however a team has refurbished the left hand lane of this junction totally ignoring the far more dangerous Seaton side. If you found staff to do the left hand side (along with other numerous white line replacements in Harringworth village) why on earth wasn't this part of the highway deemed to be more urgent? Did you run out of paint, gas or basically common sense ? I really look forward to this serious matter being dealt with very soon. Thank you.
