Neglect by the council to clean the culvert

The culvert which runs in front of the properties on the A47 has not been cleaned out for years. The was installed about 40 years ago to prevent properties abutting on to the main road flooding. The Post Office when operating had this problem continually every year until a solution was found by installing culvert rather than a drain being about 20 metres in length to prevent houses flooding. I have lived here for over 30 years and when I first moved in the culvert was cleared every two to three years, until twenty years ago the maintenance was stopped. Since then I have continually reported the problem with little success. 13th of May 2021 ref no 2724236 11th of April 2023 ref no FMS- RCC-12739 2nd of November 2023 ref no 5168358 my property was flooded I have been totally ignored and now I am taking action against the neglect. I come home today [ Sunday ] after being away overnight and find that there have been sever floods that have washed all the mortar from the front of the house has been washed out causing severe to the stonework. My garage was once again was flooded damaging a brand new electric frier and my wife's books that were situated at back of the garage all ruined by water. It is because when there is a heavy rainstorm great lakes of water accumulate outside my property and HGV's drive through the lakes of water blasting the front of my property, which is now in a terrible mess. You have ignored me long enough I am not only asking you to fix the problem but I am seeking compensation for the damage to the front of my property because of your neglect. I am seeking a solicitor tomorrow and taking it further...so ignore at your peril.

On the 6th of July I submitted a report with reference to the culvert in Glaston Ref 7817590 as yet I have had no acknowledgment or reply. The above pictures indicate the amount of water that sits in the gutter. When an HGV drives through the lakes a wash of water combined with road chippings from a worn out road washes mortar and rapid erosion on the properties stonework.
