Potholes all over junction and small stretch of road
Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 11:17, Wed 5 November 2025
Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8379081.
The junction between Station Rd and Moor Lane, Whissendine has so many potholes it is impossible to avoid them. The edge of the road has also decayed. This stretch of Moor Lane has been reported several times and I’ve had discussions with Highways office staff , who have mentioned the hierarchy are looking at this. The public would like more action and less looking and dithering please.
We need this stretch of road repairing.
Once again I repeat that money has been paid by a Developer - Community Infrastructure Levy to support improvements to the area after development. Apart from the public pay council tax and road tax - some of which is relevant to repairing roads.

This stretch of road has been an ongoing problem for 3 years. It might not be a priority in council terms but it is if you live here and pay a fortune in council tax.

The council have updated this to planned - what does this mean? The situation has been ongoing since March 2025 when my initial report was deleted, then I added another report ref 7336512 in August 2025 - no action. I fear this 3rd reprt ref 8379081 will again just disappear without action. I’ve been told this is not a priority - if councillors would like to drive their cars along here without being damaged - let's see if they think it's a priority then.
