Spring broken through road surface , estimate 6 inch deep , 19 Willoughby rd, Morcott

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 12:27, Sunday 18 January 2026

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8712937.

Reported spring last summer prior to road patching. Patching took place regardless. Spring has now broken through and taken the tarmac with it. Looks like hardcore sub base now being eroded ( over last 10 days ). Looks like it requires quick action to deal with the flowing spring before road can be repaired

Updates

  • This problem still exists! 2 years ago half of the road was patched. the other half was due to have been done but this has never happened. The unrepaired side of the road (the western half) has several potholes which are obscured by parked cars. The western half of Willoughby Road badly needs resurfacing now! There is constant traffic (including heavy vehicles)going to and from the Recycling Centre which is further along the road to North Luffenham.
