This drain isn't collecting the surface water as it runs down Melton Road.

Surface water runs down the side of the road due to an issue with drainage higher up the hill, but isn't collected by this drain. The levels of the adjacent tarmac seem to prevent the water draining into this drain, causing surface water to continue pouring down the road and pooling in the dip at the bottom of the hill.
