Street Light not working properly

Reported via desktop in the Street Lighting category anonymously at 15:22, Thursday 12 February 2026

Sent to Rutland County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8904174.

This street light hasn’t been working properly for many months. Sometimes the light flickers slightly but doesn’t come on fully. It’s at the entrance to a lane serving 9 houses (Knoll House, Wisteria House, Oriel House, Cupola House, Garden House, Nos 7,7a,9 &9a) and it makes it impossible to see the lane entrance at night. It impedes the traffic on the main London Road as people have to go very slowly or stop to locate the entrance to the lane. This does not happen when the light is working. It’s is also a problem for the Uppingham school boys boarding at Brooklands as they have to cross the unlit area to access the pavement. Could we please have it fixed ?
